Sumner
Sumner is one of the minor characters in the Magical Girl TV Show. She serves as the "Lorekeeper" who existed for a long time. While she is not a Magical Girl, she is usually around to keep notes.
She first appears during the start Magical Girl ☆Sym-Tan☆ Movie: The Death of Symbol.

Backstory
Sumner is a Tulpa born from Symbol's thoughts manifested into human form. She is a being of information whose soul was used to become rigging. Thus, she became a Shipgirl, one of the anthropomorphized beings given sentience and form.
Despite her origins, she is neither related to Symbol nor considered a Magical Girl. Due to this origin, she is sometimes mistakenly thought to be Symbol, leading to some to call her a fraud.
Powers
Sumner's powers can be described as being a Shipgirl, having the ability to do everything a warship could do. This can range from walking on water to always being armed.
Due to being attached to the concept of anthropomorphism, she is theorized to possess a form of conceptual immortality akin to that of a Magical Girl.
Trivia
- Sumner was born during the events of Season 5 part 1. While waiting for part 2, the TV Show announced a movie called * Magical Girl ☆Sym-Tan☆ Movie: The Death of Symbol. Sumner's birth led to an event later known as the Symbol Wars.
- Sumner is the official "Lorekeeper" of the Magical Girl ☆Sym-Tan☆. It's jokingly said that Sumner writes the wiki page of the Magical Girl ☆Sym-Tan☆ verse.
- Sumner is not a Magical Girl.
