Awakener

Cost: 5 SP

Required: No Powers

You can awaken the talents you possess into another. To impart the capabilities to use supernatural power within them to grow just like you do. While they may not possess the library of knowledge you have, you can still teach them many more. If you are teaching them personally, they grow leaps and bounds faster than self-study.

Dimensional Projection

Cost: 22 SP

Required: No Powers

You can extend the reach of your abilities into further physical dimensions, enabling them to have an impact in the past, future, and across dimensional boundaries. This extension is subject to the inherent range limitations of each individual ability, with the 'distance' over which you can reach determined by the metric of the dimensional structure you're affecting. Because of this, reaching through time is horrendously inefficient, with a range of 1 light-second roughly corresponding to affecting targets 1 second into the past or future.

Endless Reserves

Cost: 20 SP

Required: No Powers

Your reserves of any supernatural energy you might have, such as mana, psychic energy, chakra, spiritual power, or qi, are now made functionally limitless, being considered constantly, permanently filled to their maximum.

While this doesn't actually increase the size of your reserves directly, this does substantially increase the rate at which they grow indirectly, among other things, by allowing you to use 100% of your power at any and every moment without fear of running dry.

Am I Supposed To Be Impressed?

Required: No Powers

You are now totally immune against harmful magical influences. Adversarial spells, no matter how potent, are rendered utterly ineffective against you, this also includes magical potions or anything concocted using magic with the intent to harm you. This doesn't affect your ability to use magic, nor does it hinder your ability to harness and derive benefits from benevolent magical forces.

Engine of Escalation

Within the depths of your being, a wondrous and self-improving engine known as the "Engine of Escalation" now resides. This enigmatic engine has granted you a tremendous boon: an initial increase in the potency and range of all your powers by 300%. As you wield your powers, you'll notice a seamless and profound change in their functionality.

The Engine of Escalation draws its power from a unique source—the infinite energy generated inside you. It harnesses this boundless wellspring, employing a brute force approach to fuel its growth. The engine consumes this raw energy, converting it into a catalyst for progress and development.

With this, your powers are now intricately woven into a living network, feeding on this energy. As you use your abilities, the Engine of Escalation channels the surplus energy, amplifying their potential and pushing their boundaries. The sheer force of this energy infusion enables your powers to evolve and adapt at an unprecedented pace, surpassing conventional limitations.

The growth facilitated by the Engine of Escalation is not solely dependent on active utilization. Even in moments of respite or when your powers lie dormant, the engine tirelessly burns through the infinite energy, driving continuous advancement. Over time, this relentless process ensures that the potency of your powers doubles every five years, an automatic progression that reflects the engine's unwavering commitment to improvement.

However, the engine's potential for growth is not limited to its passive operation. Through deliberate training and consistent usage of your powers, you can expedite the growth process exponentially. By actively engaging with your abilities, you unleash a torrent of energy that propels the engine into overdrive, allowing it to double the power of your abilities within a single year.

Merlin Reincarnated

Cost: 15 SP

While you aren't actually the reincarnation of Merlin, people will certainly believe you are due to your magical prowess. You possess the innate ability to cast spells silently and without the use of a focus. Your magic flows effortlessly from within, unhindered by traditional means of spell-casting. Your efficiency and control of magic are instinctual, allowing you to execute spells swiftly without any decrease in their potency and even reduce the amount of magical energy required to cast.

No magic is beyond your reach. Through observation and exposure, you can quickly learn and master any spell, even those you have only witnessed once. Inborn magical traits and abilities are also within your grasp, as your mastery over magic extends to its very foundations. No magical knowledge, regardless of its corrupting or dangerous nature, can harm you. You are shielded from the detrimental effects that would afflict others, allowing you to explore and utilize even the most treacherous and forbidden spells without consequence.

Each time you cast magic, your powers expand and evolve. The mere act of wielding magic fuels your progression, enabling you to uncover new spells, theories, and insights into the vast realm of magic. There is no limit to the magic you can discover and harness. The rules and limitations of magic are mere guidelines to you. No longer is your genius bound to solely magic. Your prowess extends to all supernatural energies, regardless of how esoteric or unique they are. All inborn abilities, traits, and physiques can be gained with enough dedication. No supernatural knowledge, regardless of its corrupting or dangerous nature, can harm you. You are shielded from the detrimental effects that would afflict others, allowing you to explore and utilize even the most treacherous and forbidden supernatural knowledge without consequence.

Every time you use your supernatural energies, your powers expand and evolve. The mere act of wielding them fuels your progression, enabling you to uncover new uses, theories, and insights into the vast realm of the supernatural. There is no limit to the fields you can discover and harness. The rules and limitations of your various energies are mere guidelines to you. You possess the extraordinary ability to bend and break the traditional boundaries of each practice. This grants you the capability to use supernatural energies in ways that would otherwise be deemed impossible, pushing the boundaries of their potential.

Negative Emotion Drive (Magical Girl Tyrant Sylph)

Cost: 12 SP

You possess the rare Gift known as the Negative Emotion Drive, an innate technique that creates and stores energy from negative emotions to vastly accelerate your prowess with any and all kinds of magical abilities. Using the Negative Emotion Drive, you can even strengthen and use abilities that require and can't normally be enhanced by emotions. With enough hate, anger, sadness, anguish, and other negative emotions it has the potential to turn someone unsuited for magic to become a powerful individual.

The Negative Emotion Drive can store the negative emotions you feel to be unleashed whenever you find the need for the negativity, oftentimes whenever you feel particularly desperate and full of negative emotions. Under these negative emotions, you're progressing with magic can allow you to learn new spells and bolster existing ones. This means that your magic will be permanently strengthened by the growth you achieve with the Negative Emotion Drive, even when you are not using it. You can even break all kinds of limitations and obstacles in your growth with enough negative emotions. Not just having the ability to use magic at its full potential but surpass it. However, too many negative emotions can be extremely dangerous for one's mental health.

Quality Over Quantity

Cost: 10 SP

Required: No Powers

You now passively improve the density of all forms of energy you have access to, both internal and external. The higher the density, the more effective your energy is in the same quantity. By actively working to improve the density of your energies, you will eventually be able to increase the quality of the energy you are working on. Achieving an increase in quality is a momentous event, as a higher quality energy will be able to perform in an entirely different realm from the base form. Quality increases allow for more flexibility and creativity with the improved energy, loosening the bindings that you'd normally be subject to.

AOE Manipulation

Cost: 10 SP

Required: No Powers

Your area of effect (AOE) powers have become more malleable, allowing you to manipulate the shape of your AOEs. You can freely move an AOE's point of origin to another location, or even bind it to an object or being, causing the AOE to move when it's linked mass moves. Another facet of this increased malleability is the ability to diffuse or condense your AOEs in a tradeoff between strength and coverage. Keep in mind the tradeoff is in area, not distance, so if you want to make your 2x as big in every dimension, it would cost 8x the power. The maximum power that can gained from reducing area is capped at 64x, though you can reduce area further if you so desire.

Power Stockpile

Cost: 25 SP

Required: No Powers

You have a power stockpile that stockpiles the excess energy from your powers. Any time when a power isn't actively being used at 100%, it instead fills this stockpile with energy that can later be used to boost your other powers. Purely synergistic powers that don't do anything on their own don't give energy, as they don't have any mass excess that could be utilized. The excess energy gained from a power is proportional to both it's SP cost and how much of it is currently unused, and the same applies to the costs when boosting a power. This isn't perfectly efficient, causing you only to gain half as much energy as you should.

Those Who Came Before

Cost: 4 SP

You get a full grasp of the history and culture of the civilization your power comes from.

It doesn't give you any specific details or advantages, just a broad understanding of who they were.

Creation vs. Destruction

Cost: 15 SP

Powers come in various shapes and sizes, but the vast majority bottle down to two noticeable differences. Creation and Destruction. This upgrade forces you to choose between which one you’ll have an inherent affinity towards. Meaning if you select Creation, you’ll find all of your powers and abilities that align with it steadily increasing in arbitrary fields like potency, speed, and efficacy, with their advancement never stopping, eventually becoming virtually unrecognizable from their base counterparts. The inverse is also true if you would select destruction.

This ability can partially work on certain powers, such as Divine Magic being empowered when smiting foes, but losing the bonus when creating barriers on allies.
