Project V17/Powers/Shardless/Paragon Powers

From Worm CYOA Wiki

Unlimited Ability Works

Cost: 120 SP

You can copy the powers of any person or entity you encounter. You can use as many powers you want at the same time as long as they don't conflict. You can toggle powers at will, any copied power is disabled by default. Similar powers can be merged together (and separated again) to work as a single entity. Copied powers grow and adapt with continued use.

For parahumans, you get a full copy of their power. For Endbringers, you gain a full copy of their power by touching their core, and a weakened copy equivalent in strength to a Parahuman by seeing them. For Entities, you gain a full copy of all the Entity's powers if you defeat it, by touching their corpse you gain weakened copies of its powers equivalent in strength to a Parahuman, you can gain a weakened copy of any ability it uses by seeing it in action. If your target has Trumped the Trump you will need to beat your target in a fight to copy their power, a friendly spar or chess game counts for the purposes of this power.

You have a secondary power that allows you to sort through your collection of powers efficiently.

Shifter

Cost: 120 SP

You can copy the appearance, powers, skills, memory, and personal equipment (any equipment they had on their person when you saw them) of any person you see (for a very broad definition of person). The target must be in your field of vision long enough for you to see them and you need to concentrate on copying them.

You can have an unlimited number of templates stored but can only use one at a time. While taking on a form, you remain yourself and are not mentally influenced by the transformation unless you allow it.

You can copy the powers of a target with Trumped the Trump in all cases.

Architect

Cost: 120 SP

Some of the rarest and most valued parahumans are those who can effect the powers of others. People who nullify allow enemy parahumans to be subdued as easily as an unpowered human being, those who boost other's powers give their allies a much needed edge over the opposition. Some even have the ability to copy or steal powers temporarily. You can do all this and more, and only your personal desires can stop such effects from being permanent.

You can nullify, enhance, modify, or steal, the powers of others in your range. You can freely change a Shard power into a Shardless power but not the reverse. Transferring powers from one person to another is trivial, as is stacking multiple onto a single target. You can copy the blueprint for the power of anyone in your range but you will need to expend charges to create if you want it for yourself. If your target has Trumped the Trump you will have to expend a charge to make it stick.

You have fifteen charges a day which let you create shardless powers likes yours, whose nature are fully under your control. A single charge is equal to about 1 SP, but spending more charges increases its power, versatility, pushes or removes limits, and adds more functions. You can manipulate and sense created powers regardless of the location of anyone you have given them to.

You also have an ability to sense parahumans and powers within a large area. Created powers are yours until you transfer them to someone else. Charges can be spent to boost any of your powers, including those bought here (including Architect itself). Changes can be reversed at will, and you can deconstruct powers you have created, but you do not recover any charges from doing so.

Polybius

Cost: 120 SP

You have up to five of any powers you desire at any given time. You have a vast number of powers from which you may select and this roster will improve with time with new powers eventually forming in this set to suit your needs if one does not already exist.

You can shift between powers instantly and at will. If you cannot think of a power to achieve a goal, your powers will automatically offer you the best solution available, most if not all of which are absurdly powerful in their own right.

Powers granted by this ability may include equivalent to 60 SP powers or weaker depending on what is required for your purposes. Powers you use will improve, increasing the relative capability of powers you use frequently and more steadily increasing those you've used even once. The number of powers you may access at a time will also slowly increment. albeit at a sluggish pace comparatively. With extreme training you may attain Paragon powers through this ability and grow existing ones into Paragon powers. However, the pool of Paragon powers accessible through this power is much more limited than your usual abilities.

This power comes with a significant cognitive enhancement which allows these powers to operate at their absolute maximum potential, as well as discern your intent before you could actually think of it. What this means is that, if you do not consciously direct them, your powers will find and switch to an optimal set of abilities often choosing powers optimal for your current situation or any future one you could encounter. Whenever you switch to a new power, you are given a perfect understanding of its limits, capabilities, applications in near-infinite scenarios, and combination potential with other powers among vast number within your reach.

Amun

Cost: 120 SP

As a wielder of the power to manipulate energy and matter, you have transcended the boundaries of the mortal realm and entered into the realm of the cosmic. With your control over the fundamental building blocks of the universe, you possess an otherworldly ability to shape and control matter and energy known and unknown at the atomic and subatomic levels.

Through your manipulation of energy, you can alter the very fabric of reality, warping and distorting fields of energy in ways that defy comprehension. With every flicker of your power, you unleash a cacophony of cosmic forces that writhe and twist, echoing throughout the universe in a never-ending dance.

And through your mastery of matter, you can reshape the very building blocks of the universe itself. From the tiniest subatomic particles to the vast expanse of the universe, nothing is beyond your reach. You can create new worlds, restructure entire galaxies, and transform the very nature of existence itself.

With each surge of your power, you transcend the limits of the physical realm and enter into the realm of the eldritch. Your power is ancient and primordial, born from the very foundations of the universe itself. It is a power that defies understanding, that holds the very fate of existence within its reach, and yet it is yours to wield and yours to embrace. For you are now the truest reflection of the universe in all its splendor and chaos.

Mobius

Cost: 120 SP

You are a high-level spacetime and dimension manipulator. To you, the past is clay to be molded and shaped, and the future is no more able to resist your will, you are able to enter all possible pasts and futures.

With this power, you can warp spacetime in order to traverse to any location in an instant, or alter your progression through time. You can affect not only yourself but objects and living organisms as well, by chancing their spatio-temporal properties and send them careening them into the future or past or compress them down to the volume of a penny. You can decrease or increase the distance between any two points without moving them, create fields in which time moves thousands of times slower or faster, and whisk objects between dimensions as you please.

You may, potentially, cut holes in dimensions so vast as to warp the laws of one in accordance with the other, or create your own empty pocket-dimensions for yourself, which you may occupy with objects you take from local realities and other futures. You can even interlink dimensions via your own dimensions to create a nexus of possible futures and faraway spaces if you are so inclined. Nearly any manipulation of space and time on a finite scale is within your grasp, and the maximum finite scale with which you may operate will increase as your powers develop. Note that as time itself slows, so too will the development of your abilities, meaning that their growth is dependent upon true time and not dilated time resulting from these abilities.

Dynamist

Cost: 120 SP

This power emphasizes mutability over versatility. When you acquire this power, you can choose three Major Powers which cost up to 60 SP, excluding Paragon and Ascensions, and five Minor Powers which cost up to 30SP. You can choose powers from the Shard list only if you have Essence of Shard. Your power will integrate your chosen abilities and behave as if you had them. It will mutate them over time, both horizontally by adding new related abilities and vertically by increasing the strength of certain aspects. Powers with a lower initial SP cost have a faster growth until they catch up to your other powers.

While you can direct the general shape of those changes, your power will also respond and adapt to any challenge you face. When your powers are impotent, immediately useful mutations will be prioritized over long term utility. When you have time to let them grow, new optimizations and sub-powers based on where they detect challenges to be most likely, or which have stumped you before, will be added. Any useless or redundant part will be shed or fused into existing abilities. With time, your weaknesses will be reduced and your options broadened.

It is recommended you give your power time to perform routine maintenance and optimizations between heavy engagements to avoid a buildup of mutation debt. If this debt becomes too high, the quality and reliability of mutation decreases due to the stress placed on your power.

Conquest

Cost: 120 SP

Without any need for reason or justification, you will find that there is no one in this world or any other that you cannot overcome, for your raw ability scales seamlessly to match and just then just barely overcome any opposition you face in all your endeavors. If you would kill a man where he stood, your strength and cunning would best him. If you would take a lover for your own, you could chase them down to the ends of the earth and subjugate them beneath your body. If all humanity were to turn against you and deny you your right to do as you please, you could dance between the rain of all their weapons and prove your supremacy by force. If dragons would keep you from the treasures you seek, you could rip them from their hoards and cleave their skulls in twain, and if the very gods themselves would name you as their enemy, you could hurl them screaming from their thrones and force them into submission.

Though naturally limitless in every respect that matters, your puissance is best expressed through paths of least resistance: you'll find that those capabilities you already possess are always infinitely quicker to expand in scope, scale, and potency than any entirely new abilities are to appear at hand. Likewise, you'll far more readily find raw ability and talent within yourself than you'll find cultivated skill. If you were to challenge a king of games to a game of chess for his throne, you would sooner find the sheer genius you needed to outwit him than discover the specialized professional understanding of a chess grandmaster, let alone the blessings of a god of the chessboard.

As this ability gives you exactly what you need and no more at every turn, you will never lack for a challenge by this power alone: the limitless power you find within you when you exceed your grasp and your limits are tested will never sully or obsolete the simple pleasures of overcoming the mundane, and you will never be bored by the battles you might face. Similarly, though you may find the strength within you to wrest stars in twain, it is only an extension of your own will to power, and thus will never overflow beyond your ability to control; you will never face a "world of cardboard' except insofar as you actually want to rip it all to shreds in your hands. And on the flip side, you can also never be surprised (and thus overwhelmed) by any factors you would choose to struggle against if you knew of them, for your will cannot be so easily overcome. If unseen enemies were to conspire to assassinate you, you would find it in yourself to dodge the killing bullet or purge the lethal dose from your flesh.

Finally, whatever form of pleasure, satisfaction, and happiness you take in your victories, you may freely share at your discretion with those you have overcome. Whether this is merely another form of violence you're capable of inflicting upon others, a guilty pleasure you needn't deny your unwilling subjects the opportunity to experience, or a final self-demonstrating proof of the ecstatic rightness of your rule, is up to you.

Celestial Inventory

Cost: 120 SP

You gain access The Celestial Inventory. This power allows you to summon from your own Gate of Babylon analogue and wield with absolute mastery of ANY Item. Be it mundane, supernatural to the Metaphysical, you can summon any item in the known Omni verse.

You have a mental search bar that can be used to help locate a certain type of items from catalog. When looking at an item in your inventory or out in the real world, you will get a description of what it is, what it can do, how powerful it is, and what restrictions it has as well as side-effects. To summon a Item, you must know what the item's name is, so you can summon it out of the Inventory. Your Inventory will also "Refill" up a item, if you lose it. So do be careful you don't leave a Reality Gauntlet lying around. You can also place certain items as favorites to always be remembered. Please do note you can only have 5 Favorites at a time. Also some Items should not be used without great caution, respect and wariness as some may cause the Apocalypse, cause universal destruction or summon a Eldritch God like Cthulhu. Please wield responsibly.

Summoner's Sanctuary

Cost: 120 SP

You gain access to the Summoner's Sanctuary, a power that allows you to summon anyone from any timeline or dimension. You have a mental search bar that can help you locate a specific individual from your catalog. When summoning someone, you will receive their complete profile, including their strengths, weaknesses, and abilities. You can summon people with specific skills and knowledge to help you, whether it is for combat or for obtaining information. All you summon will be loyal to you unless you specifically choose a disloyal one. Once you summon someone, they will remain until you dismiss them.
