Normally this involves striking at the nervous system of a wild beast which causes the creature to be paralyzed for easy capture but it can also be used on your own body or others to stabilize wounds, increasing the body's physical strength.
Master of the art can even perform knocking on ethereal concepts such as when Teppei performs knocking on the entire world and stopping it from exploding or when Jiro performs knocking on time itself causing localized time to stop.
